Driver Questions
Answers before the phone call.
What is the schedule for the Reno OTR role?
The OTR schedule is 14 days out and 2 days off. True Blue plans freight around that schedule and does not use last-minute pressure to erase home time.
Is the OTR role only reefer freight?
No. OTR drivers may pull a mix of reefer and dry van freight depending on lane demand.
What does True Blue pay company drivers and owner-operators?
$0.60 per mile for company drivers, with all miles paid weekly by direct deposit. Owner-operators keep 100% of gross profit on every load they pull.
What is home time like for Reno-based drivers?
Regional drivers are home weekly. OTR runs are 14 days out and 2 days off. Drivers based in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and northern Nevada are prioritized for routes that return through the area.
What equipment will I drive?
True Blue runs 2022 and newer Freightliners, with sleeper berths on long-haul trucks and reefer, dry van, flatbed, and hot shot configurations depending on the lane.
